I drew the shades down and locked the door
The telephone rang, i didn't want to know why

For when and if i do return
I've got this road all to myself
For on and on as far as my eyes can see
With ten kinds of misery, in back of me
Right where i want it to be

Those four walls were closing in tight
It was only an hour ago
I'm not many miles away
But i'm feeling more like "right"
I see the lights of another town
Down around the other side of the hill
But i don't feel like slowin' down
When tomorrow comes
I might be movin' still
This is where i wanna be for awhile

I know i'll be able to smile
